Ricardo Villanueva

Dance Instructor,

I was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and I’ve lived in Chicago, Ill., since 2001. I am enthusiastic, positive, dynamic, creative, and I aspire to be the best version of myself. I love being on time and always respectful, and love sharing all my dance skills.

I began my career in 1992, in Monterrey, as a member of Ballet Folklórico de Monterrey. It was there where I developed as a person and as a dancer. I then transition as a dance instructor at the State Institute for Youth and Sport (INJUDE - Instutito Estatal para la Juventud y el Deporte.

Throughout my career, I’ve been part of the dance companies of Group Folkloric Huapango, Ballet Folklórico Fiesta Mexicana, and I have participated in seminars and training on multiple dance styles.

Laura

Yoga Instructor,

Laura is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor passionate about helping others find their “Flow to Glow” through the healing power of yoga.
She discovered yoga 12 years ago while recovering from a serious bike-car accident that left her with anxiety. When words failed, movement became her medicine helping her reconnect with herself and begin the healing process. As her practice grew, Laura saw the lack of representation and accessibility in many yoga spaces, especially for BIPOC communities. This inspired her mission to make yoga more inclusive and body-affirming for all.
Laura believes yoga is more than physical poses it’s a path to empowerment, inner healing, and body liberation.
